>> I think I've described the 'new wave' of vintage sellers in clunkier and more long winded ways before but e-store Black Velvet Circus have defined what they and others such as Nastygal, The Olive Shoppe etc do in a succinct fashion; "vintage can be fast forward". The phrase is perhaps a little oxymoronic but the thinking that vintage clothes that forward think to a contemporary angle, seems to work well in shifting vintage clothing today. The Berlin-based Black Velvet Circus is another one to add to the mix and also happens to have a pretty affordable pricing range with barely anything topping EUR50. I didn't get to explore the full fruits to be gained from Berlin's thriving vintage scene but I'm glad some of it is making it online via Black Velvet Circus' selection. Unfortunately this is rather a selfish post seeing as they don't currently ship outside the EU... maybe a few badgering emails will do the trick. I used to do this with stubborn eBay sellers... they normally bend in the end... wuhahahaha...
They also have a few young designers alongside their vintage wares, a method employed by the vintage new wave to mix and match stock in the styling... lots of murky tiedye patterns from JULIAANDBEN and a soft tailoring from Paula Immich... again all at fairly friendly mid-level pricing.
